Defining Futures offers supported youth housing as a positive and safe choice for accommodation. These placements are flexible and tailored to the unique requirements of each young person.

Youth housing

Our cluster of homes consists of smaller, welcoming, and dedicated properties with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms.

We believe that smaller, dedicated, and personalised homes foster an environment where young people can easily adapt when supported by a skilled and nurturing staff team available 24/7, who are well-informed about trauma-informed care.

This fosters a sense of consistency, stability, and healthy boundaries that some young people may not have experienced before. Implementing this approach has demonstrated a decrease in instances of missing episodes and an increase in the overall success and duration of placements.

FLEXIBILE SUPPORT

While most of our placements are for long term stays, Defining Futures also offers shorter and emergency options for those striving for an independent, self-managed lifestyle or transitioning back to family life.

A three bedroom, semi-detached house, in Potters Bar, providing a maximum of two placements for young people who are seeking a warm, welcoming and safe home environment.

SYDNEY HOUSE

A three bedroom, semi-detached house, in Muswell Hill, London, providing a maximum of two placements, close to Muswell Hill town centre, local transport and Alexandra Palace.

CHERRY HOUSE

A three bedroom, semi-detached house, in Barnet, North London, providing a maximum of two placements. This house is close to High Street Barnet, local transport, Barnet & Southgate College, Everyman cinema, gym and supermarkets.
